An event for personal finance educators

Whether you are new to teaching personal finance or have years of experience under your belt, the Refresh Lab is an opportunity to connect with other educators to share ideas, explore curriculum strategies together, and exchange classroom experiences.
You’ll also hear from community members and guest speakers, including Vincent Wallace-Haygood, who will share how best to bring resources like Money Path to life in the classroom.

Vincent Wallace-Haygood: Money Path Delivery Specialist 

A Milwaukee Public School graduate of Bradley Tech High School, Vincent brings 7 years of education and youth mentoring experiences from Woodlands Schools, Inc., and Milwaukee Academy of Science. With a profound appreciation for the art, he has a 10-plus-year background in live music performances and public speaking, earning recognition from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as one of their top 5 musical artists to watch. 

Vincent is excited to share how best to bring resources like Money Path to life in the classroom. In the past 2025-2026 school year, Vincent delivered Money Path to 2,211 students in 115 sessions at 24 schools across Milwaukee Public Schools.

Rebecca Neumann: Professor of Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Rebecca Neumann currently serves as a Professor of Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with research and teaching interests in International Finance, Macroeconomics, and Personal Finance.

Rebecca brings her dedication to financial literacy into her work at UW-Milwaukee, where she developed a new undergraduate course, the Economics of Personal Finance, providing college students with the tools to effectively establish good financial habits. 

We’re excited to have Rebecca be a part of the Refresh Lab, knowing participants will benefit from her insights and engaging approach.
